A mountain residence organized around a single long sightline to the Three Sisters, with material choices that mediate a harsh alpine climate.
The plan stacks private spaces below and the main living level above, putting the primary living space at the elevation where the Three Sisters sightline clears the tree line, uninterrupted by structure.
Material selection favors a small, durable palette — board-formed concrete, standing-seam metal, and timber — chosen for how they weather in an alpine climate with heavy snow load and large seasonal temperature swings.
The project is currently in design development, with construction documents and permitting expected to follow through the year.
In the mountains, the site tells you almost everything before you draw a line — the work is mostly listening well.
